VM Coils vs PnP X Coils

VOOPOO uses several coil platforms, and the PnP name does not mean every coil will fit every PnP device.

VM coils belong to the original PnP coil range, while PnP X coils are part of a separate platform used with compatible newer devices. They should not be treated as interchangeable.

If you are replacing a coil, check the exact pod, tank and device specifications before selecting a replacement. Matching the coil platform is just as important as choosing the resistance.

Get More from Your VM Replacement Coils

A little care when installing and using a new coil can help you get better performance from it.

Prime the coil first. Give the cotton time to absorb e-liquid before taking your first draw. This is particularly important with a completely dry replacement coil.

Use the correct wattage. Avoid exceeding the recommended range for your selected coil. VM3, for example, operates at 25-35W, while VM6 is rated at 60-80W.

Keep the wick saturated. Avoid repeatedly vaping when there is insufficient e-liquid reaching the coil. This can lead to dry or burnt-tasting draws.

Consider your e-liquid. Your e-liquid, power setting and coil all work together. Use an e-liquid appropriate for your device and preferred vaping style.

How to Replace a VM Coil

Replacing a VM coil is a quick part of routine pod or tank maintenance.

Take the pod or tank off your device and pull out the used coil from its press-fit connection.

Push the replacement VM coil firmly into position, ensuring it is seated correctly.
