Last updated: August 2026

This guide explains Local Supplies’ approach to product faults, warranty claims and safe battery handling. It is written specifically for Local Supplies and is not a copy of any third-party warranty wording.

Notice: Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law. Where a product is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you may have legal rights to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy.

1. Product Warranty Overview

Local Supplies’ warranty covers genuine manufacturing faults and defects that occur during the applicable warranty period for the product.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, liquid damage, unauthorised modifications, or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Where a fault is confirmed, we will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the problem. This may include troubleshooting, replacement, repair where available, or a refund where appropriate.

2. Vape Kits, Pod Systems, Mods & Chargers

Vape kits, pod systems, mods and compatible chargers are covered against manufacturing defects for the warranty period stated with the product or in your order documentation.

A warranty claim may be rejected where inspection indicates that the issue resulted from accidental impact, water or moisture, leaking e-liquid, incorrect charging, unsuitable cables or adapters, incompatible accessories, poor maintenance, tampering, modification, or use outside manufacturer guidance.

Consumable components such as coils and pods have a limited working life and are not expected to remain functional indefinitely.

3. E-Liquids & Other Consumable Products

E-liquids and other hygiene-sensitive consumable products cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind after they have been opened or used.

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect, leaking, or otherwise appears faulty on delivery, contact Local Supplies promptly with your order details and supporting photographs.

Personal flavour preference does not normally constitute a manufacturing defect because taste is subjective and can vary according to device, coil, power setting, storage and individual preference.

4. Coils, Tanks & Empty Pods

Coils, tanks and empty pods are consumable components whose lifespan depends on usage, e-liquid, power settings, priming, cleaning and general care.

Please inspect these items when your order arrives. If an item appears to have a manufacturing defect or is unusable on arrival, contact us as soon as reasonably possible so we can assess the issue.

Problems caused by dry burning, incorrect priming, unsuitable e-liquid, excessive wattage, poor maintenance or ordinary wear are not normally treated as manufacturing faults.

5. Prefilled & Closed-Pod Products

Prefilled and closed-pod products are hygiene-sensitive consumables. Once opened, activated or used, they cannot normally be returned for a change of mind.

If a product is clearly defective on arrival, contact us promptly. Examples can include failure to activate, an obvious electronic fault, significant leakage on arrival, or physical damage received before use.

Manufacturer puff-count figures are estimates. Actual performance can vary with draw length, usage pattern, battery condition, storage, device design and other factors. A lower-than-advertised puff count by itself does not automatically establish a product fault.

6. Battery Safety

Lithium-ion batteries require careful handling. Always follow the charging and safety instructions supplied by the manufacturer.

Charging & Operation

  • Use the supplied charging cable or a compatible, reputable replacement. Avoid damaged cables, unsuitable adapters and unapproved charging equipment.
  • Never leave a vape device or battery charging unattended or overnight.
  • Charge on a stable, non-flammable surface away from beds, sofas, carpets and flammable materials.
  • Stop using and charging a device immediately if it becomes unusually hot, swells, leaks, smells abnormal, or shows visible damage.

Storage & Handling

  • Keep batteries and vaping devices away from water, excessive heat and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep all batteries and devices strictly out of reach of children and pets.
  • Transport loose rechargeable cells in a suitable protective battery case; never carry them loose with coins, keys, or metal objects.
  • Do not use batteries with damaged wraps, dents, exposed metal or other visible damage.

7. Battery Disposal

Do not place batteries, rechargeable vape devices or electrical chargers in ordinary household waste.

Dispose of batteries and electrical products through an appropriate battery recycling point, electrical retailer or approved local recycling facility.

If a battery is swollen, leaking, unusually hot or visibly damaged, do not use it or attempt to repair it. Seek guidance from an appropriate recycling or waste facility.

8. How to Make a Warranty Claim

Before returning a product, contact Local Supplies customer support so we can review the issue and advise you on the correct next step. Please provide:

  • Your order number and product name
  • A clear description of the problem and when it occurred
  • Photographs or video demonstrating the issue where possible
  • Photographs of the packaging, batch number, serial number or authenticity information

We may ask for additional information or troubleshooting steps before authorising a return. Please do not send products back without following our instructions.

9. Returns & Fault Assessment

If we ask you to return an item for inspection, please package it securely and use the return method we provide or approve. For a confirmed faulty, damaged or incorrect product, Local Supplies will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

For hygiene-sensitive products, a physical return may not always be necessary or appropriate after use; we may assess the issue digitally using submitted evidence.

10. What Is Not Normally Covered

  • Normal deterioration or consumable wear
  • Accidental drops, impact or physical damage
  • Water, moisture or e-liquid damage
  • Incorrect charging or unsuitable charging equipment
  • Use of incompatible coils, pods, accessories or batteries
  • Improper priming, dry burning or incorrect power settings
  • Damage caused by modification, tampering or attempted repair
  • Use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Change-of-mind returns for opened or used hygiene-sensitive consumables
